Disaster Relief
Since 2013, when typhoon Yolanda hit many parts of the country, the Foundation has been extending a helping hand to towns badly hit by natural disasters.
In 2020, when the COVID-19 virus hit the country and caused many areas to be placed under strict quarantine, the Foundation gave assistance to local government units, public hospitals and private organizations and foundations by donating food, medicines and medical supplies, as well as IT equipment.
When DepEd implemented distance learning nationwide, Vivant Foundation and the subsidiaries of Vivant Corporation and Vivant Energy Corporation pooled resources to provide public schools in their host communities printing equipment and materials to support modular type of distance education. In Central Visayas, on the other hand, the Foundation donated audio-video equipment to help DepEd 7 produce instructional materials for K-12 learners. These instructional materials serve as content for broadcast in the DepEd channel.
