Six Off-Grid Schools in Palawan Now Powered by Solar Energy

In Palawan’s most remote corners, six public schools—four in San Vicente and two in Puerto Princesa—now have access to clean, reliable electricity through solar power. This milestone was made possible by Vivant Foundation’s role in the EU-funded Renewable Energy for Livelihood and Youth (RELY) project.

Through RELY, classrooms that once relied on daylight and diesel generators are now equipped to support digital learning, improve ventilation, and extend productive hours for students and teachers alike.

But this project is more than electrification—it’s empowerment. By integrating solar technology into the senior high school curriculum, and supporting community livelihoods, RELY builds capacity where it matters most.

In every watt delivered and every life impacted, Vivant Foundation affirms its commitment to creating solutions for our changing world.
